Christmas is just around the corner and there are lots of fun things going on in preparation! We are collecting for CRO and all of our classes are creating Christmas cards to send to community members who receive Meals on Wheels service from FUMC. We are gearing up for our Christmas parties and will send additional information regarding those dates and events!
We would love for parents to join us for the Christmas Party! Check your child’s folder over the few weeks for a formal invitation with the date for your child’s class listed. (This is also listed on the calendar you received at the beginning of the year) Specific parent volunteers are bringing cookies, chips and punch but if you would like to send in additional snacks, you are welcome to do so! Good options include: cheese cubes/string cheese, fruit trays, goldfish, etc. Please send only store bought snacks and be mindful of peanut/tree nut allergies. There will be activity centers at the party and each child will need to bring a plain t-shirt, sweatshirt, etc. to decorate. You will continue to receive information regarding the party via your child’s folder and email over the next few weeks.

Student evaluations were completed in November and will be going home with students next week. These evaluations were completed in a variety of was to ensure that every child had the opportunity to show what they have learned. These methods include: reviewing the evaluation sheet with the teacher, identifying a color, number, letter, or shape in the classroom, stating the color or shape of a toy while the child is playing, etc. This is ONLY an opportunity for parents and teachers to see what a child has learned and what they are still working on so that they can tailor lessons to student needs.
