First United Methodist Church Preschool has been serving the community since 1966. Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, faith based environment in which children learn, grow, and thrive.
Our experienced teachers provide each child the opportunity to:
- Develop a sense of security and well being in a group setting
- Express him/herself creatively through daily art activities
- Grow their curiosity through the use of STEM toys and sensory activities
- Develop fine motor skills and coordination through play with blocks, puzzles, safety scissors, etc.
- Establish appropriate health and bathroom habits
- Learn to listen to and follow simple instructions
- Work on letter, color, and shape recognition in preparation for Kindergarten
